ergoCentric wanted a line of mesh office chairs that would take their business to the next level. They asked us to use our experience in furniture design to help. We created the airCentric and tCentric Hybrid task chairs, critical darlings and some of ergoCentric's best-selling chairs to date.

The Client
Even before working with Dystil, their sole mission was simple: to design and manufacture the best ergonomic chairs in the world
In the past, though, this functionality had come at the expense of some aesthetic value, and had failed to fully penetrate a market dominated by international firms like Herman Miller and Steelcase.
Our Process
To craft a state-of-the-art chair we used state-of-the-art methods.
Since the early 90's (when much of furniture design was still stuck with foam models and sketching) we've been using 3D digital modeling and 3D printing to ensure quality that can’t be matched. We helped pioneer the use of pressure mapping technology that allowed us to isolate issues in ergonomics and produce a chair that only felt incredible to sit in but worked with your body to encourage a healthy a posture. We didn’t compete with the big guys by trying to outspend them- we took big risks and pushed the envelope instead.
The Result
We created a chair designed for two people: the user and the one who pays for it.
To do that well, we took an empathetic approach to design, focusing particularly on the stages of testing and user-feedback.
You can feel the difference that attention to detail makes. The tCentric Hybrid is a rare breed- fully customizable with the support of full upholstery or the comfort and breathability of a mesh chair, with the choice left to the user. The airCentric is a beautiful and modular design built for any office. Both represent the best of what the market has to offer.
